I’ve spent the academic year 2008/09 in Ireland, studying at the University of Limerick. Two days before Christmas I waited at a roundabout in Limerick for my first lift. Four weeks later I took a plane from Glasgow back to Limerick.
The route (1352 kilometres)
Limerick – Galway – Inis Mor (Aran Islands) – Galway – Sligo – Dunlewey – Derry – Port Ronan (Malin Head) – Port Stewart (Giant’s Causeway) – Ballintoy – Belfast – Edinburgh – Glasgow – Limerick
